Allow me to introduce you to Ruffwear Roamer™ Leashes.
These leashes are handheld, waist worn, super durable, and made with this really cool stretch webbing material. The stretch webbing material allows that extra bit of leeway during walks. What I mean by that is, it is basically like a built in bungee cord. The bungee takes the bulk of the pull off of my arms and puts it into the leash. So... no more sore arms!!! Aside from that, the stretch webbing even adds some extension to your leash, giving your dog a bit of extra distance and freedom as well.
These leashes are fully loaded! With a padded handle for comfort, a loop on the leash to clip your poop bags too, and perhaps my favorite feature - the Ruffwear designed Talon Clip™. I love this clip! It opens up just as the name says... like a talon. Providing secure strength and extra safety when walking your dogs.
And we're off! We headed out the door for our first test run with Ruffwear Roamer leashes! I have to admit, I was caught a little off guard. When we walked down the stairs and the Huskies started to pull, I felt nothing. When they reached the end of the stretch webbing bungee, I pictured them all springing backward like some cartoon or something! I have a good imagination, don't I? But they didn't come springing back to me, they just stopped, and waited. I was stunned. It was such a relief on my arms, there was just no tension!
Aside from a minor "husky braid" tangle in the leashes, we were off to a pretty darn good start.
Koda got so far ahead with the stretch, that he literally looked back at me as if to say, "mum, are you coming or what?"
The end result of our walk? Happy, smiling huskies, and a happy smiling mom... with no sore arms!
So would I recommend these leashes? Yes! Not just for people who struggle with loose leash walking, but the sheer difference these leashes make in a walk is just amazing to me.
Ruffwear has many other items as well, and I encourage you to check out their website of high quality dog products. You will not be disappointed. Sibe's honor!

those are great leashes, but a bit pricy for me as Speedy has a tendency to bite through his leash twice so far on his elasticated part,xx Rachel
ReplyDeleteAw that's too bad. I will say though, these leashes are by far, the most durable ones I have ever owned!
DeleteHi Y'all!
ReplyDeleteMy Human is anxious to get one of these gizmos to try with me. I'm excellent off leash, but sometimes pull of the 6 ft standard leather lead if not constantly reminded to "heel". (I hate that word).
Y'all come on by,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Yea, my huskies aren't fond of the "heal" word either LOL!
DeleteThese are great leashes, and come highly recommended by my sibe tribe!!
They are nice looking leashes. Love the spaghetti. We all have our spot to walk on so we rarely get tangled.
ReplyDeleteWe don't get the husky braid tangle too often either. We had just left the house, and while I was trying to snap a photo, they got impatient and intertwined with each other hahaha!
DeleteI need one!! Cocoa pulls when she walks and my arms do get tired and sore. I laugh because I don't have to do weight training to keep my arms in shape :) I will look at these leashes.
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean!!! These are so great to keep our arms from getting sore, plus giving the dogs a bit of extra freedom, they really enjoy it!
DeleteThose are really interesting Jenna. I know I developed very stron arms from walking my Sibes all those years. LOL
ReplyDeleteYes! You know all too well! These leashes really help with that!
DeleteWell, this is one of those, "Why didn't I think of that?" dog products! I love the idea and it is safer than a retractable leash. You are my idol for being able to walk all three dogs at one time! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great feature isn't it? I mean, a retractable leash for a small dog, sure, but there's just no safety in it with larger dogs, so these work great for that!!!
DeleteAnd thanks! LOL I try!
I imagine Huskies would pull one's arms off. So glad you found something to help you enjoy walks more! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL, they do, although they can definitely be trained not to. Some are more stubborn than others LOL!
DeleteWe have Ruffwear leashes too, but more traditional in style. Mom loves the clasp on the end of these because it is a carbiner style with a twisty lock on it. We have had them a long time and they are worn out at all. Yours are very nice too, we just might have to get Mom to take a look at them.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Ciara and Lightning
Nice! And yea, I would definitely recommend these for your dogs as well. It just makes walks so much nicer.

ReplyDeleteYes they are :)

ReplyDeleteThansk, we love our Roamer Ruffwear leahes!!
DeleteWhat cool leashes!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteLooks like a really cool leash.
ReplyDeleteThey sure are!
DeleteWe love Ruffwear! These look so great. :D
ReplyDeleteWe do too, and these leashes are just one of man reasons we love Ruffwear!
DeleteSounds like a great solution!
ReplyDeleteIt really is! We love our Ruffwear leashes!
DeleteThey look like nice leads, but would they hold up if your dogs suddenly bolted? That is what I would worry about.
ReplyDeleteI would say yes. I have used these leashes a lot since having them, I have had all 3 huskies pulling, dashing off in 3 different directions and anything you can thin of and they have definitely held up to the task! Very durable, and high quality!
