Dogs In Boats:
Koda is our fishing dog! He loves the boat, he loves being out on the water, and most of all he loves watching us reel in those fishies!!In the above photo, Koda decided to sit on the dock, and just stare out into the water scenery. He looked so at ease, so relaxed. It was an amazing site to see.
Until...
He began to get impatient waiting for us humans to get everything ready to go, so he went over to the boat as a "hint hint" sort of thing. He was anxious and ready to hit the water!
And away we went! Koda is a natural boating dog. I am thrilled to have at least one husky who isn't fearful of the motor running, and be able to take him on trips with us. He just has so much fun!
In the photo above, Koda was watching his hu-dad reel a fish in. He loves to watch, and then smell them once we get them in the boat. Today he was upset, because we fished 'catch and release', and didn't bring home any fresh bass with us to boil up for him. Not to worry, we still have some in the freezer!
Finally, at the end of the day, I let Koda get all cooled off in the water while hu-dad was loading the boat up. And BTW - I am so happy with how this photo turned out! (above) The water is so crystal clear, you can see the beauty of our surroundings.
Shake it off!!! Koda dried himself off before getting in the truck to head home! We can officially say, we had a successful stress free fishing trip! Well needed.

ReplyDeleteAw wow!!!!!! That is fantastic!!!!! Thanks so much fr sharing
DeleteI love how Koda LOVES being on a boat! I am embarrassed to say we had no significant "adventures" here. OMG I am such a loser xoxo

Ahhh don't say that! I don't think adventure has to include being outside and finding adventure that way. I'm sure you and your pets do amazing things together, and that is an adventure all in itself!
DeleteKoda is a natural boating dog! Looks like fun. Katie and I have been on a boat, but it rarely happens. I love the water, but just never get to go swimming much since we don't live on a lake.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Yea, Koda loves the water and the boat!!!
DeleteWe don't live on a lake, but close enough that it's not hard to get there for a quick swim when we feel like it. :)
Haha - they may not speak English, but they really do know how to let us know exactly what they want!
ReplyDeleteMonty and Harlow
You are SO right!!!!
DeleteBentley would look funny with his ears flapping on a boat ride! I may have to get my son to take us. LOL! Our summer didn't have too much adventure.
ReplyDeleteLOL, I would love to see those ears flapping away!!!!
DeleteOh baby Lexus is so adorable! End of summer...ah, so many mixed emotions about that, but we do love the cooler Autumn weather here! Lovely boat pics!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I know what you mean!!!!
DeleteKoda looks like he really enjoyed the trip!
ReplyDeleteHe sure did\!!!
DeleteLooks like he really enjoys being a boat dog! Max would be terrified since he doesn't like water. Happy Pet Parading! ~RascalandRocco
ReplyDeleteLOL, Koda loves it!!!
DeleteThat is so great to see Koda having so much fun with the boating and fishing! I love that crystal clear water too, it looks like you have a great place to go boating. It's sad that summer is winding down, but we had fun too. We wanted to get some more swimming in but the fishermen took over our favorite swimming spot. :(

Thanks!!! I was thrilled with how the photos turned out!!
DeleteSorry your swimming spot got taken over!!!
Koda does look like a boating dog! Because of all of Phod's ear infections, he didn't get to swim as much this summer. Now we know how to prevent them, it will be game on next!
ReplyDeleteAw thats too bad!
DeleteWonderful photos! It's evident how relaxed yet alert Koda is, and how much he enjoys the boat trip.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful boat pictures, what a great time.
