The sibe tribe and I have a fabulous product to share with you today.
As most of you know, Siberian Huskies have a thick luxurious double coat - but did you know that they also have sensitive skin? Not just that, but a Siberian Husky cannot bath as often as other breeds do. This is due to the the fact that too much bathing will cause a husky to lose the natural oils in their fur, as well as irritate their sensitive skin. So, as a human being owned by 3 huskies, what am I to do to help keep their naturally gorgeous fur - well, gorgeous!
Benecoat is fish oil for dogs. It provides essential fatty acids to help keep your dogs fur, skin and coat shiny and healthy too!
Benecoat contains :
- EPA and DHA from fish oil
- Krill oil
- Zinc picolinate
- Methylsulfonylmethane
- Hydrolized Collagen and Linoleic acid from Safflower oil
Lexus has been on Benecoat for some time now.
The reason I chose to start giving her this, is that out of all 3 of my sibes, she is the one who got the sensitive skin. Plus, she always seemed to have much coarser fur than the other two.
I wasn't really expecting much to change with giving fish oil supplements like this, however I was happy to notice (after about 2 weeks time) that her fur seemed to look full, fluffy, and had a nice shine to it.
Now, I am not going to say that her fur was ever dull, because it wasn't, but I can say that Benecoat has brought more of that natural shine out, plus with the other benefits and nutrients, why not?!
On top of everything, they come in a yummy cheese flavor, and if there is one thing my little Lexus can't refuse, it's cheese!
Wondering if Benecoat is right for your dog?
There are some things to look out for if you think your dog may suffer from a a fatty acid deficiency or imbalance:
- Skin Irritation such as itching or even redness
- dull coat
- dermatitis
- Bacterial and yeast infections on the skin
- Skin allergies
- Scaly spots, or dry flaking skin
- greasy spots on coat or skin
