Most of your probably know that already, but some of you may not know exactly how you can help, or how you can participate. The ASPCA has a few really great ways to be involved, raise awareness and show your support this April.
How Can You Help?
1) Show virtual support
Spread the word by posting to your social media networks while using the #fightcruelty and tagging @aspca.
2) Go orange!
Go to your dresser, find any orange clothes that you may have and sport them!
3) Become an animal activist
Visit ASPCA advocacy center and join up to recieve the latest news in the animal world as well as different ways you can help!
4) Support your local animal shelter
Start your own "Go Orange For Animals" event with your local shelters or rescue organizations in the community. Organize an event such as an adoption day or fundraiser, then donate the proceeds.
5) Create your own ASPCA fundraiser campaign
Check out the aspca's fundraising event page and set up your own, or participate in an ongoing one.
You don't need to do all of these things, but choosing at least one, and participating this month will make more of a difference than you may think. My way of raising awareness is through my blog, and social media, what will you do to show support for the month of April?
Today's #atozchallenge is the letter H. H is for Help - Do your part, and help animals in need this month :) |
