Believe it or not, this year was the first year I have ever seen it!
It was THE cutest thing ever, of course!
All of the puppies shown in Puppy Bowl are from rescues and shelters?
For those of you who don't know, the Puppy Bowl aired yesterday, and resembles a Football game, except filled with cuteness and tail biting penalties instead of big sweaty men pumbling each other!
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against football, but when there is puppies involved, I am THERE!
Some cool facts about the Puppy Bowl :
- The first ever Puppy bowl was on February 6th 2005
- There is a veterinarian on site to ensure the pups safety
- Representatives from American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty To Animals as well as the shelters the pups came from stand by to ensure the pups are treated well.
It was Team Ruff VS Team Fluff.
I was going for team Ruff while my oldest daughter was going for team Fluff.
If you watched the puppy bowl yesterday, which team were you rooting for?
Team Ruff took it in the end!

The photo above shows a birds eye view of the puppy bowl.
It is set up in a room made to resemble a football field.
Just too cute for words.
There was even the most adorable kitty half time show, where a bunch of kittens took over the control room. AND they had a gorgeous kitty done up as "Katty Furry," rather than Katy Perry
(who performed at the Superbowl Half time show.) Had to laugh.

The above photo shows the candidates for MVP of the game. (Most Valuable Pup)
Henry took it after scoring 4 touchdowns!
SO my friends, if you haven't yet tuned in to the Puppy Bowl, I encourage you to watch next year!
It was a well spent 2 hours of my time!

DeleteI am pretty sure I have been watching the Puppy Bowl since the very first one in 2005. I was thinking about that yesterday when I noticed that the Ref in the game is the same guy that has been doing it for years. I'm not sure if he was there in the very beginning, but I'm sure he has been for at least a few years now. It's just so much fun to watch those puppies having a blast!
ReplyDeleteLots of wags and woofs from the crew at Wag n Woof Pets
It was definitely a lot of fun. I can tell you one thing, I won't be missing it ever again!!
