There are numerous reasons why I love huskies, but I thought it would be fun to show some of the main reasons why I am head over heals for this breed.
So, why do I love Siberian Huskies?
1) They are highly intelligent
Ok, so maybe they don't actually read books as shown above, but this breed is so intelligent that they are named "The houdini of the dog world." They watch very closely at what their humans do, and quickly learn to open doors, cupboards, and even the fridge when in need of a snack.
I swear they speak English. Sometimes it blows my mind at the words they can understand.
2) They love children
In this photo (above) I was playing a sort of peek-a-boo game with my daughter in bed one morning, and all the sudden Koda put his arm over her and glared at me as if to say "stop bothering my mini human!!"
All of my huskies have their own special bond with my kids, and it is such a beautiful thing.
2) They FORCE you to commit to exercise!
Siberian Huskies need exercise. They are very energetic and require daily walks, and runs in fenced in areas. If not, they can become very destructive, as they get SUPER bored! Therefore, they always have you up and about keeping them busy in one way or another.
Hmmm....sounds a lot like my human kids!
3) They are always happy, with a loving smile on their faces
Huskies have a trademark grin, and wear their emotions on their face always. Love their smiles!
4) Huskies love to be silly!
I love to be playful, I love to joke around, and be funny. A huskies personality matches that paw-fectly! They love to play, be crazy, silly, and are huge jokers!
5) They love their people!
Huskies are FULL of love, and love to be around their people.
Each of my huskies show their love in different ways, but each of them have a need to be close to me. Of course, that makes me feel like a wonderful paw-rent! I must be doing something right!
Your turn, what qualities do you love most about your breed(s) ? Cats or dogs!

Just....priceless.

Isn't it?
DeleteHuskies are a great breed and Mom considered getting one because of the exercise thing, but then decided to go with another hound...Bailie. The Houdini thing was a big strike against the breed for us, but the high energy needing lots of exercise is a big plus for us.
ReplyDeleteThe Houdini thing can be a pain, but I am so fascinated with how smart they are about escaping!
DeleteThey sound like the perfect breed for an active family! I love the silly and happy side that you illustrated, the photos are perfect! I've always thought that huskies are so beautiful as well, and yours certainly are. :)
