But what about our 4 legged friends? Myself, I love bottled water, or filtered water, it just tastes better, and I know I am drinking clean water. However, I am also guilty of filling my dogs water bowls with regular tap water.
Which is why I was particularity thrilled when I was contacted by Heyrex - the company who makes.....wait for it.....Torus, The Ultimate Water Bowl!
Torus (Latin for hollow circular ring) is a filtered water bowl system for pets.
It fits about 2 liters of water, stored inside of it's walls.
Pssssssst - Torus is also coming out with a new mini size version of the bowl, which will hold 1 liter!
I'm talking to you kitties!
If you take a look at my photo collage, you will see a step by step guide. All you do is insert your little filter, add water enough so that it covers the body of the filter, and lock the dial until your ready to use.
Once you unlock the dial, the water begins to flow.
And you can feel good knowing your dog is drinking fresh, clean water.
Why should I use this bowl, and not my regular one? Here are just some benefits from Torus:
- Auto replenishes as they drink
- Large Water Capacity
- Due to the locking system, this bowl is travel friendly
- This bowl is made from food grade materials
- Provides clean fresh water
- Low profile ensures no spill
- Replaceable filters ensure pets drinking water is always fresh. (Filters last one month, so remember to buy a pack of them and replace as needed)
- PLUS you get a 12 month warranty on the bowl!
The stored water is inside the walls of the bowl. (1) Fresh water is then drawn through the carbon filter. (2) Finally the filtered water flows into the drinking well and is kept at an optimum level. (3)
The filter removes impurities from your dogs water, and why shouldn't we give our pets the clean healthy water they deserve?
My favorite feature on the Torus Ultimate Water Bowl?
I love the locking option. I can't leave bowls full of water laying around because Koda would drink and drink and drink. That boy loves his water. So after he is done drinking, I can simply lock it without having to put the bowl away, and next time he needs a drink it is as simple as a twist of the dial.
I hope you guys have a chance to check out this video I made with my huskies - it shows the bowl in action, how the dial works, and my fur babies enjoying some super fresh water!
Please excuse the slurping sounds!
I think they liked it, yea?
I bet your thinking, "I'd love to try that for my pet!" Well I have good news - you can!

We never had a water system as we just use a regular bowl. Have a terrific Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
We use a regular bowl as well...until now that is ;)
DeleteThat is a cool bowl. Question: How easy is it to clean?
ReplyDeleteIt is a cool bowl! We are loving it!
DeleteAs for the cleaning - the bowl part if of course super easy to clean, just put it in the sink and clean it as regular, however you do raise a good question because I am not sure about internal cleaning inside the walls. I will find out and let you know, asap!
Wow! Check out the Snow Dog crew drinking from that cool Torus water bowl! From the video, it seems they sure do like fresh, filtered water. It's pretty neat how it auto-refills.
ReplyDeleteOz
I know right? Thanks so much Oz ;)
DeleteWe just love this bowl, it's great to know I am giving them clean water because I know half of the things that go into our water to "keep it clean" and I would much rather give my dogs freshly filtered water. The auto refill is wonderful!!
Interesting twist on filtered water! Never heard of such a thing. We are still a tap water family including Mom. She drinks 2+ liters a day and says bottled water would send her to the poor house! We have good water in our area, so it isn't a big issue.
ReplyDeleteI was giving my dogs tap water as well, and I do love bottled and filtered water, but I drink tap as well sometimes. It really is a great feeling though watching the dogs go nutso over that fresh water! Hope you have a chance to enter the giveaway and at least give it a shot!!
DeletePretty cool - thanks for the review - interesting device.
ReplyDeleteNp!! Hope you get a chance to check it out!
DeleteHow absolutely PAWsome!!!!

Thanks Earl!! We are loving this pet water bowl!!!
DeleteWe drink bottled water and if our city water tastes or smells funky, the boys get bottled water too. I love this water bowl because there are no electrical cords. Huge problem for me, but I really love this one!
ReplyDeleteI agree! No cord makes it that much more fantastic!!!!
DeleteThis is just great! I have a kitty fountain for Cody (but I am still not a big fan of the fountains), Would love the larger one for Dakota and get a smaller one for Cody when they come out. Trying to get Cody to stop drinking out of Dakota's bowl. This looks sooooo easy and that's what I want! Hoping U.S. residents are eligible to enter!
ReplyDeleteYes, U.S residents as well! I forgot to add that ;) My apologies!
DeleteGood luck!
We don't do any of those social media thingies but we love that water bowl. Mom keeps a bottle of fresh water in the fridge for us and fills our bowls with it a couple of times a day - we both love cold water.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Ciara and Lightning
Cold water just tastes better, doesn't it?
DeleteWe have a fountain we won that filters the water. Our tap water is fine, but I like the fact that we don't have to change the water every day. But it has to be plugged in, this doesn't look like it does? How is it powered? It seems very cool! Only Luke and Sam will even drink out of our fountain.
ReplyDeleteJan, Wag 'n Woof Pets
Nope, no plus!!! The filtering system is consisted of a filter which just slides in, and the auto replenish happens because the water is stored in the walls. When the dial is to the dog symbol, the bowl simply refills as the dog drinks!
DeleteWe do tap water, along with our peeps...would like to try this....if we can keep Susie from dragging the bowl off to the back of the yard...it seems to be a game with her and the peeps1
ReplyDeleteThe Mad Scots
hahaha!!! Crazy Susie!
DeleteSounds interesting. I think it would be great for kitty when the smaller size comes out.
ReplyDeleteI agree!!! I am definitely getting the kitty one!
DeleteThat's a cool bowl! We have a fountain that we use and it has a filter in it. But we also like drinking from our plain ol' big bowl too.
ReplyDeleteNice! We love this water bowl!!! Such a clever product!
DeleteThis is really cool! I wonder if I could get Atka to drink out of it. He's gotten ridiculously picky about his drinking bowls recently. Little nugget ;)
ReplyDeleteAh, then maybe this is the answer!!!!
DeleteThat's a neat system!
ReplyDeleteI agree!!
DeleteWe use bottled but this is such a cool machine! So cool how it works!
ReplyDelete-Taylor Tromp
I think so too!
Deletewow that's pretty darn cool, never seen anything like it. I don't drink much water
ReplyDeleteI know, this product is definitely super cool! I do drink lots of water lol
DeleteThis is a cool product - I like that it's made from food grade materials. That's not something you always think about w/ pet products but should! Thanks for this great review.
ReplyDeleteLove & biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv them
Yes, your absolutely right!
DeleteDexter MUST have this. He is a good drinker but his urine concentration of specific gravity is a bit up and our vet wants him to drink more water. I saw this product on Instagram on your wall and KNEW I had to enter this contest. Paws crossed we win!
ReplyDeletePaws crossed for you!!!
DeleteWish the kitties in my house drank more water! MOL
ReplyDeletelol! Mine actually drink quite well
DeleteOur refrigerator dispenses cold, filtered water. I do use bottled water, but only when I'm on the go and can't access the water at my house. I also recycle any water bottles I do use.
ReplyDeleteAh thats wonderful!
DeleteWe drink filtered water from our fridge. Rarely buy bottled water.
ReplyDeleteNice :)
Deletei drink bottle water only
ReplyDeleteThats great!
DeleteI drink filtered tap water. We have a built in filter
ReplyDeleteWonderful :) Good luck!
